Committee Page

The Choir Committee consists of the President, Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Librarian and a member from any voice section of the Choir that is not represented through the holders of the named Committee positions.  The Musical Director and the Accompanist are invited as ex-officio member of the Committee.

The Committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting of the Choir.

The regular work of the Committee involves discussion of the on-going work of the Choir, ideas for the recruitment of new members, checking on the state of the Choir's finances and planning for the future.  All of the Committee's decisions are presented to members for their approval during the Interval in rehearsals.

The Musical Director discusses plans for new music with the Committee and outlines his intentions for rehearsals and for the development of the Choir's performance.
