Strategy

The All Our Tomorrows strategy takes as its starting point an increased understanding of the importance of improving mainstream and preventative services for older people, rather than simply focusing on the traditional health and social care interface. It seeks to take into account the needs and aspirations of older people according the following seven themes:

  • Housing and the home
  • Neighbourhood
  • Social activities, social networks and keeping busy
  • Getting out and about
  • Economic aspirations & income
  • Information
  • Health and healthy living

Equalities Impact Assessment (EIA)

The All Our Tomorrows strategy has been assessed for its likely impact on the promotion of disability and race equality, gender, disability, sexuality, religion or belief and age. This reflects an ongoing commitment to equalities and emerging legislation.

Quarterly Highlight/Exception Monitoring Reports 2007/08

AOT has been clear from the start that ongoing clear evaluation methodology is needed. A real strength to our work has been the commitment to ensure that older people in particular have a voice in the implementation of the strategy and associated actions. In the last year AOT has developed a coherent quarterly performance management framework, which ensures both the Shadow and AOT Board has the ability to challenge and understand progress with respect to the delivery of specific actions identified. The links below will provide you with full copies of our quarterly highlight/exception reports showing you where either progress has been made or where further actions are needed.
